Ma & Pa Clark with Baby D

Sunday we all headed over to Uncle Ben's, Auntie Liz's, & Cousin J-man's house in Enumclaw for a hang out at the farm. It was a beautiful day, Mount Rainier was in full view. We just hung out, ate some good food, played some Frisbee, watched the grass grow.... it was a good way to pass the day.

This weekend Dylan, Maggie, Jill, & I met up with our friends Shannon, Gia, Miles, & Tiffany for a super fun picnic at Greenlake. There were bubbles, lots of good food, fruit punch, laughs, a few tears, lots of good people watchin', and just some plain old fun. Lil D had so much fun she totally passed out at the end. Even Maggie had a good time.

Fundraising for Camp-Mak-A-Dream

Little D's sayin' donate now 'cause we love Camp-Mak-A-Dream!!!!

Every year for the past several years Matt & I have been supporting Camp-Mak-A-Dream by doing a ride in Dillon, MT (where Dylan's name came from) called Ratpod.  It's a beautiful ride and we love doing it.  We're gearing up our fundraising with a little help of our newest team member - little Miss Dylan Ray.  If you have a few extra dollars in your pocket check out our fundraising page at http://www.firstgiving.com/matthew_christine_clark

A Stroll at Lincoln Park

Today was one of those beautiful days in Seattle - the sun was out, the water crystal blue, the mountains out in clear view.  And Jill's saying 'finally I come to Seattle to visit and the sun's out!'.  There was a smile on her face for sure - unlike earlier this Spring when it was snowing.  Being such a beautiful sunny day we decided to get out and enjoy the afternoon with a stroll around Lincoln park.

Auntie Beans Comes to Town

Yeah Auntie Beans (aka Beaner, Beanie, Jill...) is back visiting from Hawaii. Jill came out March 4th for Dylan's arrival. When it got to the 17th and still no baby, Jill took me out for a long long walk - she was ready for that baby to come out. After the walk she asked "anything?", I was like "sorry". Matt got home that night and rubbed my ankles and feet - exactly the spots to induce labor - then rolled over to go to sleep, he was exhausted. As I laid down I felt Dylan slide down, lock into place, and a big gush of water. I shook Matt - "Uh Matt, my water just broke!" And that was the beginning of Dylan's birth. Jill was the first to the hospital to meet Dylan Ray Nicole. We gave Dylan the middle name Nicole after my sister just 'cuz we all love her so much. Guess it was my way of saying thanks for being a great sister and my best friend.

Now that she's back after a month and a half she's amazed at how much our little monkey's grown. First thing Dylan did when she saw Auntie Beans was smile.

Chunky Monkey

Well it's official our little chunky monkey is no longer a newborn!  Yesterday I packed up all her newborn stuff and traded it out for 3-6 month stuff - she now has a new bin in the closet titled 'outgrown'.  Sad to see some stuff go but now it's like Dylan has a whole new wardrobe.  We've notice especially over the past few days Lil D is chunkin' up.  Someone told me that they get chunky and then they sprout - if this is truly the case then there is a big sproutin' coming.  We'll keep you posted!  Another new development we've noticed is the bubbles - as in the picture.  I thought maybe she swallowed a spitbug but Great Auntie Doris says that the bubbles mean that her teeth are forming.

Dance Fever

Here's our girl doing the 'I've got a clean diaper' dance.  The girl has some moves for sure!  ...and some hicups. :)

A Funny Story

So while Grandma Montana was in town Matt & I had a 'date night' - yes, we got away for a few hours! We've recently been working on putting Dylan down to sleep in her crib - she's be a noodle in our arms and as soon as we'd put her in her crib her eyes pop open. So for the past few days we've been working on getting her down on the first signs of her being tired. At first she'd last 10 minutes, then 20, then 50 - an all time record! So as we were headed out the door for date night I said to Linda 'Dylan's in her crib, she'll probably wake up soon and then you guys can play', figuring they'd have a little Grandma/Grandbaby play time. Matt and I went out in the hood - like the old days - had a beer, a bite to eat, and tried to stay awake long enough to have a conversation - it was fun. So we head home around 10:30ish, Linda's doing the dishes (thanks Linda!). I ask 'how'd it go?' and Linda says 'oh, she's been asleep the whole time' - Little Miss Dylan Ray slept 3 hours in her crib!!!!!! That's our girl - only sorry Grandma missed out on playtime!

Linda Ray, Dylan Ray, & Cousin Jackson

While Grandma Montana was out visiting, Cousin Jackson came over to play for an afternoon. It's always good having Jackson come play! Can't wait for Dylan to get a little older so Jackson can show her how to ride a bike, or climb a tree, or teach her all about tractors, or....

Bouncy Chair Action

Here's a little slice of life of Dylan at home.  Here you'll find her hanging out in her little bouncy chair with the music on.  Life is good!  And this gives us a chance to put up our first video.  We promise it'll get more exciting as time goes on.

Grandma & Dylan Out in the Garden - As Cute As Can Be

Grandma Montana is out visiting this week. It's great having her here - Dylan just loves spending time in her arms - they've been reading stories, listening to classical music, napping on the couch, going for walks, and just hanging out. We're happy to have her here.

Me so Happy...

Little D all yoga'd out in her dad's arms. Arms & legs crossed could be the beginnings of the 'tree' pose.

A Day at the Office

Yesterday Dylan and Grandma Montana went to visit Dad at the office for a lunch date (mom got to escape for a massage!). Well let's just say they really worked hard. Apparently Dylan was passed out in the chair for quite sometime. Nice work Grandma Montana, you have this G-ma thing down!

Fishy Time Fun

Our Neighbors so kindly lent us this great fish themed play mat - Dylan LOVES it!  Almost as fun as a pinata!  Go Dylan Go!

Ebug, Dbug, & A Little Man Named Chase

Elise, Dylan, & Chase

There once was a girl named Ebug whose beauty inspired us to call Dylan Dbug.  She and her brother Little Man Chase came for a visit and we all had a lovely little picnic of Thai food down at Lincoln Park.

I'm so pretty, Oh so pretty...

April & Fiance' Nick visiting from UK

Dylan's sporting a pretty little sweater that her Auntie April sent her from the UK. A cute little hand knitted piece that April bought at a Craft Market. Thank Auntie A - you're the best!!!!

2 Month Check up... Weighing in at....

Today was Lil D's 2 month check up. She hit the doctor's office like a champ - weighing in at 11bs 14 oz and measuring up at 23.5 inches. Crazy! She was all sh@ts and smiles as the doctor walked in - literally loaded up her diaper right as the doctor walked in the room - I passed it of by saying 'Dylan made you a present'. The doc gave her the A-O-Kay but left the present for me to clean up. The smiles soon went to screams as the nurse gave her 4 shots and an oral vaccine - poor girl. At least she got some cute Band-Aids to show for it. And after it was all done the poor girl was zonked!

Word on the Street....

There's been some comments that there aren't any dad photo's on the blog.... here's one from a lunch date we all had. Here's to the best dad - we love you Matt!!!!

Sunday's @ the Clark's

A perfect Sunday at the Clark's would be sleeping in, a good breakfast, walking up to the farmer's market, and playing in the garden. Dylan is fitting right in - she's got it all figured out already!

Kickin' it with Maggie

Maggie and Dylan hanging out this morning.

Uncle Ben & Dylan

Nope that's not Matt but Uncle Ben (some people say they look alot alike). He came for a little visit - nice that he lives close by! Dylan was so excited she passed out in his arms.

What's Up?

Dylan & Mags hanging out at home.

East Coast Comes to West Coast

The Family: Great Uncle Cupcake, Uncle Shawn, Momma Tini, G-ma McBride, and PaPa Clark

One happy dad!

Kelly (uncle Shawn's girlfriend) has some baby whispering skills! Nice work Kelly!!

Great Uncle Cupcake & Uncle Shawn doing an uncle two pack calming session. Dylan was so happy that she started crying - or at least that's the story we're sticking with!

A few weeks back Great Uncle Cupcake (a nickname Auntie Jill gave him long ago) from Philly came to do a little business on the West Coast. We were so excited to have him that we had a family pizza party. Thanks for the pictures Kelly.

First Bottle!!!!

Last night was the first bottle!  It was a big hit - didn't even bat an eye as she wolfed down 5 ounces no problem AND mom slept away!!!  It was a great moment at the Clark house.

Rockin' The Vintage Booties

Dancing with my little vintage booties - my mom's had these tucked away for me for many many years, saving them for just the right moment.  Can't wait 'til I'm big enough for the vintage cowgirl boot collection - you'll all have to watch for those.  Just like my parents I already have a large shoe collection....  A girl loves her shoes.
