A Girl And Her Dog

Seems that the girls have become very bonded. Where ever Dylan is Maggie is always close by. When Dylan sees Maggie she get a great big smile on her face and her little hand reaches out. They share toys, they cuddle, go for lots of walks, they play, and Mags loves to give Dylan kisses (especially with yams all over her face).

Breakfast at Dylan's

This morning's menu - banana's and rice cereal. Matt got some great shots.

Hide and Go Seek

This morning Matt and Dylan were so kind in letting me sleep in. Quietly they played on the floor in the living room. Matt went into the kitchen for a moment to put the kettle on. When he came back into the living room Dylan was gone. "Uttoh!" he thought, "I've lost the baby!". Then he heard a giggle from over by the couch. Yup, you guessed it, Dylan rolled across the floor, under the coffee table and was practically under the couch. And guess who was so proud of herself.

Happy 6 Months of Life Dylan!

Today is Lil d's 6th month b-day. She's showing off all kinds of tricks these days - she can roll over (several times in a row even), just about sitting up on her own, eating all kinds of foods, cracking up a whole grocery store of people, and can hold a whole conversation with you (of coarse you haven't a clue as to what's she's saying but I not so sure she knows that). She loves being outside, discovering new things, listening to music, her dog maggie, sucking her toes, and laughing. Boy, does she love to laugh - she cracks us up everyday!!!! Thanks for being you d - happy 6 months of life little one!!!!

For a little 6th month celebration we started our day off with a bowl of puree peas - yum! Then we took a long walk stopping by the grocery store and library, where Dylan proceeded in cracking people up - she was grinning from ear to ear for anyone who crossed her path. Of course I can't see a thing as we just moved up to a big girl stroller where she now faces outward. I just see people stopping in their tracks and come over to smile back at D. It's so great to see Dylan bring such smiles to people's faces - warms my heart.

On our way home Dylan passed out in her stroller, drool running down her check - guess it's exhausting being such a little clown. When we got home we played for a while until Matt came home. Then we all went down to the little neighborhood park to show dad how Dylan can swing like a big girl. Of course dad brought his camera and got some great shots!

When we got home it was bath, bottle, and bed - it couldn't come soon enough as Lil' d was exhausted from a big day!

We love you D!

The Tongue is Quicker Than The Hand

Okay so these pictures are a little blurry but honestly it all happened so fast it's amazing I captured it on film! Not sure Dylan knew what she was getting herself into when she reached out to touch Maggie (her newest favorite thing to do). Oh, what started out as an innocent little touchie touch turned into a full face cleaning. Guess you might say both Dylan and Maggie like yams.

Swing Time

Today on our walk we stopped by a little playground so Dylan could try out the swings. Oh boy, let me tell you, she did not stop smiling the whole time!!!

Yam's

Actions speak louder than words.....

Sunflower's and Yoga

Here's a great series of shots. Dylan and I went out into the garden early one evening - her favorite thing. We were sitting on the grass (she's just about sitting on her own) looking at our sunflowers. She started playing with this one on the ground when i noticed the sunbeams coming through the bushes - it made for a beautiful back light. It's amazing what great shots you can take with an i-phone.

Sunbeams and Sunflowers

Here's some shots of D playing with the sunflower.

"Hum, what do we have here?"

"... oohhh some grass ~ tickles my toes"

"I'm picking the grass"

"Oh boy, what's over there?"

"UUUhhhh, hum, what's that?"

"I must touch it's sooo pretty"

"Hum, look it comes apart"

"oh wow, I think I'll grab this whole thing. I wonder if it will fit in my mouth"

"So pretty I think I want to smell it. Maybe I want to eat it?"

"He loves, he loves me not, he loves me...."

Now this is where the funny yoga shots come in. I laid lil' d down under the sunflowers and as I shot the pictures I'd wiggle them around. It made her laugh. She started grabbing for her toes and I do believe she was doing some yoga poses.

Yoga pose: tribute to sunflower

"Oh, I think I can get my legs a little closer to my chest."

Look at that concentration! And look at those thighs!

Awe yes, we have toe sucking!!!! Now how many of you can top that?

And this is when she started giggling.

"Me sooooo funny!"

Here's a portrait we call "toes to the sunflower".

And here's one of d's self portraits.

This one I shot as I was taking the camera from out of her mouth. She sure loves laying in the grass. Those sunflowers made her day and those big kissable cheeks made mine!
