Afternoon Bubble Bath

Today after being all over the doctor's office it was straight to the bath tub. To make Dylan feel better after her shots I threw in some extra bubbles for fun. It was a hit. And between the docs and the bath it made for a good long nap!

15 Month Check Up

15 months and doing GREAT! Just back from the doctors where Dylan proceeded in pulling EVERYTHING out of all the drawers, sharing her blueberries with Dr. Evans, checked out all the instruments, and getting 2 shots (poor thing, but she was a trooper)! Dylan is right on track with everything: learning, motor skills, developmental - she has 9 teeth with a new bottom one just breaking skin. As we left she gave a big goodbye wave and kiss to all the nurses on the way out the door. Here's her status, for those of you keeping track.

weight - 26 lbs 4 oz - 90th percentile
height - 32.5" - 90th percentile
and head - 47.2cm - 75th percentile

Nice work little one!!!!

A Bike Ride to Lincoln Park

D and I just got back from a 10 mile bike ride around West Seattle. We made a pit stop at Lincoln Park to stretch our legs. 10 miles isn't very long considering the 130 miles ratpod is but it's something and you have to give me credit for pulling a trailer the whole way - up hills and all - right? Dylan loved it and was great the whole trip.

I just downloaded a new camera app on on my i-phone which I was playing with. Makes some cool effects!

Driving & Boarding

D's new infatuation is getting behind the wheel of the car or in this case the van. Probably a good thing her feet can't reach the pedals.

Here's some shots of D testing out her dad's new skateboard. She'll be riding the halfpipe soon enough!

Steps

For some reason Dylan LOVES our neighbors steps & rocks. She will sit on those steps playing for 10-15 minutes straight.

Little Miss Cool

Dylan kept pointing to my sunglasses and calling them 'hat' - it finally dawned on me it's because she sees them on top of people's heads - miss smarty pants.

Oh Boy, First Kegger!

And she's the life of the party! Oh and for those of you that notice - the fat cut lip is from her first skateboarding accident and I'm sure is isn't the last.

Disclaimer: No beer was consumed in the making of this.

Buckethead

Uh, this was all on her own...

Latte Anyone?

She does make a mean one! Hand whipped....

Random Acts With Rabbit

A few weeks ago we went to visit some friends of ours whom we just discovered live a few blocks away. Akemi and Yumi were brave enough to host us at their house. Umi and Dylan had a grand ol' time playing with their dog Evie. As we were leaving they loaded us up with all kinds of great books, cd's, and even a very cute little rabbit - which Dylan is in love with. Thank you Akemi & Yumi!!!!

This little rocking chair was a gift to me from my g-pa mcbride - let's just say it's been well loved throughout the years! It's very cute to watch Dylan in it - she loves to rock while holding her rabbit or reading a book.

Dances With Rabbit

Here's a grand dance performance piece for you - we like to call it "dances with rabbit". That's all I'm going to say....

The end.

Backyard Playtime

This is how Dylan thinks you smell the flowers by blowing in and out of your month.

Getting ready for a little lounge time!

Getting Ready To Ride

Me And My Sleepy D

Dad's Music Video - More, More, More

So I know I already posted how Dylan loves to watch her Dad's music video he shot for a band called the Beads. But now the funny thing is every time we passed by my computer Dylan points and moves her arms up and down - it's one of those moments that only a mom knows what her kids wants, and in this case it means - "Mom can I watch Dad's video?". So I play it for her, she gets really excited when it starts up - arms moving up and down really fast. She knows all the parts now, like when Maggie comes on - she points, then she starts to wave in the scene just before the one with the little girl waving, and right before it ends Dylan's already signing for more. It's really funny to watch her. She loves it. Finally I had to tell her 'all done, no more' which she signed back 'all done'. When Matt came home from work I told him to watch Dylan watch the video - just so he could see how much she loves it. And of course when it ended instead of signing 'more' she shook her hands meaning 'all done, no more' - which I had to laugh about, at least she's a fast learner!
