Xmas 2014 With Auntie Beans

This year Christmas was very mellow, which was sooo nice!  Auntie Beans flew in from the tail end of a shoot to spend the Holiday with us before heading back to LA.  The girls loved having Auntie Beans around!
The weather was great so we spent lots of time at parks.  Here's Dylan and Auntie Beans just swinging away!

Usually Asa has needed a little time warming up to Auntie Beans (as she does with everyone) but not this visit she just ran right up to her yelling "beans, beans".

Always are favorite times with Auntie Beans.  Thanks for hanging and spending Christmas with us!!!

Santa Photo 2014

Okay so it's been over a year since I've posted anything to the girl's blog.  I apologize to all those who still even check the blog.  First I was waiting on photo's from Matt then life with two just got a hold of me and I've been running.  Lots has happened in a years time, which I'll get to soon to catch you all up.  In the meantime, we wanted to say Happy Holidays!

Oh Christmas Time

Christmas 2014!  A busy time of year for sure - just got done with Asa's birthday and boom right into Christmas.  We are a little late in getting our tree up this year.  Dylan's running the show for sure on decorating and showing Asa how it's done.  I had to laugh as all the decorations were on the lower branches of the tree and then kept moving higher and higher as Asa kept wanting to play with them all and I would move them out of her reach.  I'm sorry to say we had a few casualties but then again I guess that's going to happen with a curious 2 year old.

Here's a picture of how smart our little bugger is - I walked into the living room to find that she had tipped over a crate she had gotten from her room so that she could reach the ornaments.  "See, Momma, See".  So they all moved further up the tree.

Oh and have I mentioned someone has a sweet tooth?  Here Asa's turned a pot upside down to get a little closer to the Ninja Bread Men cookies we made.

And here's one of just plain being her goofy little self that she is!  Happy Holiday's ya all!

Asa's 2nd Year Check Up

Asa's 2 - can't believe it!  And it's her favorite word these days "two, two" along with 'quirrol', 'dee', 'dadda' and of course her favorite - 'momma'.  Asa doesn't seem to have as many words as a lot of kiddo's her age but boy the girl can communicate quite clearly as to what she wants either by sign language, grunts, pointing.  She is a girl who knows what she wants and will lead you to it that's for sure.  Right now her favorite things to do are picture searches, kitties (she will be a crazy cat woman for sure when she gets older), and following her big sister around.

She had a great time at the doctor's office and it helps that we have a great one.  Asa's weighing in at 29lbs (79%), Height 36.25" (97.86% - she's tall!), and her head 50cm (96.64% - she has her dad's noggin!).

Happy "Two" Little Bean

Little Bean is "Two" today!  We had a family pizza celebration at Stellar Pizza - thumbs up on turning two! And then over the weekend we had some good friends we hadn't seen for a while and their kiddo's come over for a Ninja Man Cookie Decorating Party - which was loads of fun!

Happy Birthday Little Bean - we LOVE you sooo much!  And to quote Dylan "We are so happy you picked our family!" - couldn't have said it better myself!

Dylan's Class Guinea Pigs - Home For Thanksgiving

Dylan's been dying to bring home the class guinea pigs since she first met them over the summer.  So Thanksgiving break approached and we were first on the list for a home visit from our furry friends.  Now how did we get first on the list you wonder, well when you ask the first day of school your chances are pretty high you will make it to the top of the list.

Dylan loved having Cocoa and Bolt at our house.  That love lasted a day maybe two.  The real love story was between Asa and the g-pigs.  OMG!  That girl and those little furry piggies!!!  Every 5 minutes "Momma Cocoa, peassse Momma"  So I'd take her downstairs and she'd feed them and love them and make them run around their cage (all in the name of excercise mind you).

I did have to put a stop to it when she tried to climb in the cage with them.

So now every time we drive Dylan to school I hear the sweet little words from the backseat - "Cocoa peeeaasssse Momma."  And as soon as Asa's little legs hit Dylan's class hall she is like a windup toy dashing down to D's classroom as fast as she can.   And I have to say for as much torcher as she gave those little beings they see her and rush up to greet her (secretly hoping she's packing some greens, I'm sure).
