Toe Tappin' Fun

Uncle Ben & Auntie Liz gave Dylan this super duper fun musical chair.  This is the first time Lil D gave it a whirl.  She kicks the feet and it makes music - she was rockin' out in no time and laughing up a storm.  Thanks guys this will be hours of entertainment.

Sleepin' In!

Last night we had a sleeping record! This might even make the Guinness Book of World Records ~ I'll have to check. Last night I put Dylan to bed at 7pm, she was so tired I didn't even have to make a second or third trip back to pop in her chew~chew (aka binky, pacifier). Our girl slept solid until 5am - that is 10 hours! Holy cow!!!! And that was 10 hours in her crib. I heard her stirring so I went to go grab her - she had Hoodinied two legs and one arm out of her swaddle - sorry I was too sleepy to remember to take a picture. And I got a big smile. We got her diaper changed, fed, and brought her to our bed for a 2 1/2 hour cuddle. Thank you Dylan!!!! Here's a few pictures from her nap - this is what I get to walk into every time she wakes up.... it's very yummy!

Dancin' Machine

Today Dylan was playing on her fun time mat while I was in the kitchen.  I heard her giggling and playing.  Then I heard her music box come on - she's learned how to hit the box to make the music come on and the starts dancing away.  Everyday we have music time - her favorites are Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, Wilco, Caspar Babypants, Johnny Bregar - just to name a few.  I play her all kinds.

This week Dylan's new thing is reaching for her hanging toys on her little play time fun mat.  Here's a few shots of her playing, also a video where she's winding up and blowing bubbles.  Our little one is getting so big and so smart - can't believe it.

Maggie & The New Toy

For those of you that don't know Maggie, well she loves gifts especially ones that she can open.  Her favorite gifts are those of a furry, plushy nature.  The problem with a new baby and a dog that LOVES stuffed animals is that Maggie thinks all Dylan's new toys are hers.  What can you do?  I bought a few little things for D the other day and had them sitting in the living room.  Jill and I were out in the garden hanging out when out comes Maggie all excited about something.  Yup you guessed it one of D's new toys.  I'm just going to put both Maggie's and Dylan's toys in one big basket and let them share otherwise we're going to be chasin'  Miss Maggie all over.
