Doctor's Visit

2 week check up - okay it was a while ago we've been a bit busy. Gaining weight and doing good. Doc gave the okay to let sleep through the night w/o a feeding. Let's see how long Lil D goes. So far 4 - 4 1/2 hours!

This morning I captured Lil D smilin' and gigglin' on camera.  Here's a few funny faces....

Many people have been wondering how Maggie is taking all this "kid-dom" coming to her house. I'm sure, from a dog's perspective, it could be a bit overwhelming. All of a sudden, your rank drops down a spot in the family unit with the appearance of this little screaming, farting, pooping, attention grabbing thing. On top of that, you get relegated to the dog bed instead of the family bed to make way for the kid. Dang, it really does sound kind of like a bummer, but Maggie is taking it all in stride. She seems right at home with the baby and has taken to the new schedule really well.

On the bright side, she does get some perks: Lots of walks, she sneaks a lick of Dylan now and then, and the big one is she'll get to lick up the scraps Dylan drops from the table when she moves to a high chair. Maggie doesn't know about that one yet, but she'll be excited.

Maggie has always been good with kids and I'm sure this will be no different. It'll be fun to see Maggie deal with Dylan's different phases of growing up.
