Dylan and Maggie

Awe, best of friends! Maggie is the best big sister, she just loves dylan ~ sometimes a little too much as d gets one in the face.

Ballet Moves

Here's a very funny video I took of Dylan in her Johnny Jump Up. She's giggling, bouncing, and if you watch her legs she's even doing a few ballet moves!

I Scream U Scream We All Scream for da Ice Creme!

We have proof! We now know by these pictures that Dylan is her Momma's child!!!! While in Missoula we stopped by our favorite ice creme place (in the whole world) The Big Dipper and got ourselves some cones. While heading back to the car I turned around to find Dylan's face in Matt's ice creme and she LOVED it!!!!! She got a face full and still went back for more.

Montana or Bust

Yes Montana or Bust! We packed up the Eurovan (boy these little people require a lot of stuff) and headed to Montana for our end of summer get-away.

Along the way we made a few pit stops to stretch our legs and to show Dylan her Dad's home state...

Our first stop was Thompson Falls to visit G-ma Montana & G-pa Phil. We had a great visit. Dylan made herself right at home in her G-ma's arms (where she stay the entire visit). G-ma Montana and Dylan shared a bowl of rice cereal. We lounged on the back porch and watched the river go by. We had some great food AND we had lots of laughs. Thanks for the visit Linda & Phil!

After Thompson Falls we headed to Helmville for a little down home Rodeo fun. It was a hoot. Here's Dylan s'pportin' her new cowgirl hat - she fit right in.

Then it was on to Missoula to visit family and friends. We had a great dinner with the Fromm family (Pete is the author of Dry Rain, the short film Matt did a few summers ago) in their new house. Unfortunately, I was really lame and didn't get a photo - sorry guys! Next time. We had an amazing dinner and a great visit.

Monday morning we headed over to Cousin Polly & Rob's for some huckleberry pancakes - yum! We hung out poolside and visited with some of Polly's family that was in town. Then we all piled into the cars and drove to Alberton to visit Aunt Linda, Uncle Chuck, Cousin Sam, his girlfriend Brittany, and little Cousin Lydia (Polly & Rob's daughter). Aunt Linda whipped up a mean ol' pot of meatballs and gravy & and some yummy pasta salads. It was a great time.

Tuesday morning before leaving Missoula to come home we got to see Aunt Cathy and Uncle Stan. We were hoping that we'd catch them. They kindly let us crash at their house while staying in Missoula. Cathy and Stan were visiting their grandkids in Reno and made the trek home just in time to catch us. It was great to see them. Uncle Stan and Dylan share the same birthday - cute huh. We had a great visit and Aunt Cathy got to feed Dylan a bottle and kiss her cheeks. Thanks again Cathy and Stan for so kindly letting us stay at your house, hope we didn't leave any dirty diapers under any pillows :)>.

It was a super fun trip - so great to see everyone! Dylan loved every moment of her adventure and is such a good traveler. Here's to many more adventures ahead.

First Shots of First Foods

Our first foods are going over quite well. We started with banana and have now moved on to rice cereal. You can tell by the shots below that so far Dylan has liked everything. Just like her mom, her Auntie Anne, and Julia Child she has a curiosity of food. Some day perhaps D and I will come up with our own cookbook "the art of baby foods".

Dylan's mixing up her bowl of rice cereal

ooops!

"um, this is good"

"more please"

"yum, this is even better"
