Asa's Two Month Check Up

Our little gal is two months already and she's all smiles about it!  Just back from the doctors check up and all is good, gaining and growing like a weed (okay more like a beautiful little buttercup)!

Height - 23.5" (85%)
Weight - 11lbs 12.5oz (54%)
Head - 15.47" (73% - yup, she has her father's head)

Giggling, cooing, sleeping, and tummy timin' like a champ!  Nice job Asa!!!

100th Day School Food Drive

Dylan's preschool joined the school challenge of collecting 100 cans of food before the 100th day of school.  Well today they not only did it but they also made the West Seattle blog!  Nice job!!!

We want to give a big shout out to our friend Tiffany who donated several cans to help out - thanks T!

Here's the link to the blog if you want to see it for yourself:

Day Trip to Vashon

A few weekends ago the girl's and I took a day (yes just a day) trip out to Vashon Island to visit Auntie Beans who was renting a house for a little get-a-way.  Dylan was so excited to go, so excited in fact she packed a full suitcase of stuff to go with her (again we were only going for the day).

And at the end of the day the suitcase was still fully packed as we didn't tap into it at all - we had too much fun combing the beach, feeding the ducks (that apparently didn't like bread), and re-arranging Auntie Beans' vacation home.

After a really fun relaxing day we headed to the ferry.  The first boat filled up fast and we were 5 cars short of getting on so we had an hour to kill, which isn't an easy task with an infant and a toddler but i did it and we were still all happy when we got home to dad who was making us all pizza!

Asa's First Smiles And Giggles

Little A's first smiles and giggles.....

Love this phase.  So sweet to walk in after a nap and get a big smile awaiting you!

Dance Recital At The Kenney

Here's some photos from Dylan's last dance recital at the Kenney Retirement Hall here in West Seattle.  She had just come from a full day of skiing but really wanted to do the recital (she actually really loves them).  This performance was called the Funky Monkey - and it was hilarious.

Here she is with her good friend Sophie.

More Ski Lessons

Here's a few ski lessons from the other day.  Still smiling!  Here's D getting ready to ride the big ski lift with her instructor.

Making Breakfast

The other morning I walked into the kitchen to find Dylan at the counter - "Hey Mom, I'm making you breakfast."

BAM

A few weekends ago the family went to the Bellevue Art Museum.  Dylan had a great time with this installation.  It had her entertained for quite sometime!

Ski Lessons

Dylan has been LOVING her ski lessons!  Here's some photos from a few weeks back.  She knows the difference between french fry, pizza, and popcorn - we're talking ski terms.  She'd be happy to show you.  D's doing great!  She's skiing down the mountain now all by herself (with a big smile on her face of course).  More lesson photo's and videos coming soon.

Happy Vday

Happy Valentines Day!  Dylan was very excited about V-day this year.  All her classmates handed out Valentines, candy, and stickers.  For a special treat Dylan made her classmates mini red velvet cupcakes.  She so proudly decorated them herself.

For V-day I made Matt and Dylan a special breakfast.  It got a few giggles.

Here's Asa in her cute V-day outfit from Cousin Stacey.  She was so happy she's doing a little dance.

And here's Dylan so proud of her cookies she made her dad.  For Christmas she gave him a cookie of the month club - this month it's peanut butter cookies with chocolate hearts.  She did a really good job with them and was very proud!  Of course she had to sample them before giving them to her dad (hence the cookie in her mouth smile below).

Love to all and to all a big heart (and a cookie if you come over)!
