Xmas 2014 With Auntie Beans

This year Christmas was very mellow, which was sooo nice!  Auntie Beans flew in from the tail end of a shoot to spend the Holiday with us before heading back to LA.  The girls loved having Auntie Beans around!
The weather was great so we spent lots of time at parks.  Here's Dylan and Auntie Beans just swinging away!

Usually Asa has needed a little time warming up to Auntie Beans (as she does with everyone) but not this visit she just ran right up to her yelling "beans, beans".

Always are favorite times with Auntie Beans.  Thanks for hanging and spending Christmas with us!!!

Aqua Velva Girl

Auntie Beans was producing a commercial and needed a little superstar to help her out in an Aqua Velva commercial - first off they still make the stuff?  ha!  Guess so.  Auntie Beans told me a little about Dylan's role - she would be in an 1960's home movie, dad packing up the car, D sitting in a car reading between her two brothers that were picking on one another.  Dylan was really excited and rehearsed all morning.  "Hey mom, what do you think of this face?"  "Hey mom, what is my dad going to look like?"  "What book will I be reading?  And do I get to keep it?"  She got a little shy when all was said and done but I think she was just in character.  Of course it was a busy day of running around (and the one day Dylan decided to put applesauce in her hair at school which meant we needed to run home and wash it) so Asa was a little squirmmy wormmy and cranky so I stayed back a bit (as you can tell from the pictures).  Guess we will just have to wait for the commercial to come out to see - or sweet talk Auntie Beans into a sneak peak.

I must say it was quite funny to be on the 'other side' while being on a film set.  Dylan on the other hand had no problem finding craft service and telling the make-up gal to give her the works. That's my girl!

Dylan's Candy Bar

Auntie Beans brought Dylan this super cool t-shirt from Houston. Dylan loves it and wears it all the time. Here she is 'working the camera' as we like to call it.

Thanks Auntie Beans!

Dylan's 4th Birthday "Friends" Party

Oh you can only imagine (unless you have kids - then you know) how excited Dylan has been about her birthday!  The big 4 - uh, how did that happen?  This year we had her friends' party at a super fun place called Moon Paper Tent on Saint Patty's Day.  We got to pick a theme, the kiddo's dressed in costumes, had their sweet little faces painted, made magic wands, and acted out a story.  It was tons and tons and TONS of fun and some good laughs as well. It was fun to watch each kiddo come in and take it all in, some were shy at first and didn't want to dress up (Dylan included) but once they warmed up there was no stopping the creativity.

"Oh for me, you shouldn't have Alder"

I loved how Gigi was a bit shy about dressing up but in a short period she transformed into Madonna (it was one of my favorite costumes of the day)

This is not Alder it's super pup, now get it straight would you

Happy 4th Cake Day Dylan!

Neve having a great time.  I had to put extra frosting on the cupcakes to get the worms to stick so each kid left with face paint, a chocolate goatee, and a huge smile.

I think it's safe to say from the last photo that the party was a hit!  Happy Cake Day sweet D - we love you!  And thank you to all her magical and wonderful friends for helping us celebrate Dylan turning 4 years old.
