Three Amigo's

Yesterday we had a fabulous little picnic at Volunteer Park with Miles, Gia, & Momma Shannon.  It was great to see them as it has been FOREVER!  The kiddos took to playing in no time! Off to the wading pool where they played 'alligator' with some older kids.

Book time.
Dylan came up with a great adventure for us one day.  She suggested taking the Water Taxi from West Seattle to downtown and the riding the Ferris Wheel.  She showed us the way - including finding the right dock, getting tickets and where to sit on the boat!  She was a true Julie McCoy.

After the Ferris Wheel we went into the Arcade for a little ride on the carousel.

Then we headed to Pike Place Market.  Dylan stopped this awesome balloon artist - he can make over 250 animals!  Dylan choose a mermaid and sure enough he made one - totally made her day.

It was a quick but fabulous visit - so happy to have Uncle C and Auntie D out!  Just hope we didn't exhaust them too much!  Every morning Dylan would wake up and announce she was going downstairs to wake them up.  She LOVED having her Uncle and Auntie out and is already planning their next visit!

First Dive

Dylan's first dive off the diving board.  No fear this one.  One little kiddo (you can see below diving board) was clinging to the board scared to death so Dylan asked if she could take his turn.  After her 3 jumps the kiddos moved on to the next lesson.  Dylan would have kept going all night if she could.

Milk And Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last night Dylan and our lovely sitter, Olivia made chocolate chip cookies (along with nail painting, pizza eating, movie watching....).  Olivia and Dylan make the best chocolate chip cookies!  So good that Dylan decided to have milk and cookies for breakfast.  Oh boy!

HEAVEN

Oh someone was in HEAVEN last night.  Not only did she get to rock out with all her girlfriends to her idol, Caspar Babypants but she got her photo with him after the show.  You can clearly see how giddy she was - notice hand sweetly on his neck and huge grin.

One To Go

Last night we headed over to Magnuson Park to watch Matt ride.  There wasn't a kids race scheduled but Dylan forced the issue and being the fabulous dad that he is Matt organized (and designed) a course for Dylan and all her new friends.  Here's a picture of Dylan taking over the lap count down for Matt's race.  She asked to hold up the numbers and announced to each racer the amount of laps they had left to go - along with some really loud cheering.  Nice!  I'm glad to say no one fell off their bike because of laughing.

Soccer!

Well, it is summer time.  And what else do you do in the summer but try new stuff out.  So we've had rock climbing, BMX racing, a dance recital and now soccer.  Yup, D is trying it out.  So far, she loves it.

As a competitive girl that she is, Dylan isn't happy when someone steals her ball in some of the drills and she is still figuring out the no hands thing, but she's getting there.  Her coach, Coach Jessie, really cracks the whip and keeps the little kickers interested and in line.  We're going to roll with this one through the fall and let her enjoy some fun soccer time.  Here's some more pics.

There's Coach Jessie and some of the other kids.

Dylan and this girl were immediately fast friends.  They went everywhere on the field together.

Dylan got her first soccer jersey after practice.  She'll be one of the kids running around in blue in the next round of soccer photos.

Good thing is this place is indoors so come fall and rain, they'll keep playing and having fun.
