Last Day of School

I can't believe it's the end of preschool! Time flies and a lot has happened - insert little bean.  Dylan has learned a TON and is teaching us Spanish!!  In the last few months D has been coming home with little bits of Spanish here and there and her teachers say that she is understanding quite a bit of what they are saying. Cometa had a cute little graduation party at the Little Gym (which D thought was hilarious).  Dylan is going to do 'summer school' before starting Pre-K in the Fall.  And she still wants to be a "ballerina and a film maker like her Dad"

School Field Trip

Here's a few pictures Olivia, another of our lovely favorite sitters, took of Dylan on a class field trip. I was working and was sooo bummed to miss Dylan's first school field trip. Olivia was a great sport, packed up the girls and headed to the zoo to meet up with D's class.  The kiddo's had been learning about farm animals and their field trip was to the family farm area at the Woodland Park Zoo.  Apparently it was tons of fun.

Even Asa enjoyed herself apparently spending the whole time watching the kids watching the animals and then passed out.

Winter Break is Over

Winter break is over and we're back to all our scheduled events - Little Gym, Swimming, Super fun dance class, and preschool which we've bummed up to three mornings a week.  AND this Saturday Dylan and Matt start ski lessons!!!!

For the past few weeks Dylan has been learning about families at preschool. Last week they got to take care of baby dolls, today they made baby food.  So great that she's getting prepared for the new little one.

Last week the kids made pictures of their families - here's Dylan's photo of her's.  Apparently her Papa is very dirty (must be after a bike race), Mama's head is popping off and her clothes are a little too small (very true for both these days), Dylan has very big beautiful eyes, long blonde hair, and likes to wear dresses (true), and her new baby has no facial features yet, hair color could either be blonde or red AND likes to wear dresses (although Dylan still says she doesn't mind either a brother or a sister).  Nice job Dylan I think you've done a very accurate job describing your family.  And I thought it was interesting that she's put the baby outside my belly and part of the family.

First Day of Preschool and More

Preschool 1st day 9.11.2012.  "I'm going to be a Ballerina and a Film Maker like my dad!"

If was a week of many firsts but the most important was the start of preschool.  We have been talking about going to preschool for quite some time now and it was the big first week - finally.  Someone was soooo excited that I could barely take any pictures as she was running out the door so fast.  We were the first to arrive - even before the door was unlocked so Dylan stood with her face pressed to the window watching her teachers with great excitement.  It was a short sweet goodbye before Dylan was onto art and fun.  As I walked out there were many kiddo's clinging to their mother's legs screaming, I looked over and Dylan was already quite involved in an art project. 

Three and 1/2 hours later I was at the door to pick her up - I could hear the scream of excitement "Moommmmmaaa!" and then she ran through her whole time and everything they did with a big "I LOVE PRESCHOOL" at the end.  We went to celebrate with frozen yogurt and bubbles.  It was a great day - and the next day was exactly the same.

This week we also started Dylan's new swim class - EELs.  She is starting to learn to swim without floaties!  Also new Little Gym, Super Fun Dance Class, and soccer.  It's a full week but super exciting!
