Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

With the new baby coming any moment now it's forcing us to get all our Christmas stuff done early.  So last weekend we headed up to Holy Rosary School and picked out our tree.  We walked around a bit before finding the perfect one.

Then back home the real fun began.  Matt started a fire and got down all our ornaments and we went to town.  I even found our Christmas music!

Someone had a blast decorating and then playing and then decorating and then playing.  We also took a dance break.

Matt even hung up outside lights!  Oh we are so festive this year!!!!  And so on top of it (not our usual waiting until Christmas Eve!)  Now we're just hanging out waiting for our little mini watermelon to come any moment now!

Oh No Santa - Not Again!

Another Christmas another year without a picture with Santa! Honestly I really did try - again! You'll have to look back at last years crazy Santa pictures if you don't remember the story. SO THIS YEAR we were going to Europe in PLENTY of time to get a picture with Santa. Well who knew or should I say didn't know that they don't really do the whole Santa picture thing in Europe. So year 2 and still no real Santa pictures. Have I failed as a mother or have I just started a new family tradition of finding the funniest "Santa" possible - which I'm totally okay with.

We were walking through a Christmas market in Berlin when we came across this Santa statue. Not completely knowing yet about the lack of a real Santa we decided to shoot this as a back up and thank goodness we did! I love the statue like look on Dylan's face - it matches the look on Santa's face.

So serious - or possibly soooo cold!

Ha! Okay now she's having fun.

Dear Santa

dear santa,

hello my name is dylan ray clark. i wanted to introduce myself as this will be our first of many christmases together. i thought since you are starting to get busy with the up coming season i'd get my special gift request in early. this year, for my first christmas, i found this really super duper coolest ever 'radio flyer retro rocket' and fell in love with it. oh boy it sure would be fun to place my cute little tushie aboard and ride up to the stars whiles making all kinds of fun rocket noises. it would be hours of entertainment. i also would love a bike but my dad is still researching that one, so i will have to get back to you on it. oh i almost forgot to mention, my mom makes really good cookies (i heard you like them). thanks santa i really look forward to working with you over the next several years. hello to all the reindeer (i'm still learning all their names) and the misses.
