It was a beautiful Fall Cyclocross race at Woodland Park on Sunday. The colorful leaves were all on the ground, tons of bikers of all ages, and a huge turn out for the kids race. Cousin Jackson came and did his first Cyclocross race and had a blast! After his race was D's. She was super excited to beat some boys. AND even more stoked to have a big cheer section that included Auntie Beans, Mom, Dad, Bridget and baby Poppy, and G-ma Melvene and her new husband, Rick!
It was all smiles until the line up then it was pure concentration! Pappa Matt was leading the kids race which Dylan loved. She was out to win!
Afterwards we had a nice visit with G-ma Melvene and Rick who came back to the house. There was tea, books, pumpkin cake, Hello Kitty's and paper dolls, AND even Donald Duck (Rick totally won D over with his impersonation - which he will now be doing every time she sees him!).
Later that afternoon Dylan and I headed up to our friends Akemi and Yumi's house for a little viewing of Despicable Me and a full on super yummy bagel bar - 'Oh Yeh!' (to quote Vector for those of you who have seen the movie - it's D's new favorite line).
Thanks to all who came to support and cheer our little racer on! It was an action packed day for sure. D's eye were shut before her head hit the pillow!

Tres Hermanos
The other night the McBride family had a reunion gathering. Since we all seem to have October/November birthday's and Auntie Beans was in town we all got together to celebrate. Uncle Shawn and his fiancee Kelly, G-ma McBride and her 'special friend' Rick (well I think it's safe to say boyfriend now since there is a promise ring involved), Auntie Beans and her boyfriend, Daryl, and the Clark clan. Congrads to Shawn and Kelly on getting engaged and to G-ma McBride & Rick for promise rings and moving in together - lots of big news that night! Great to see everyone and catch up. It was a fun evening and of course some good laughs.

Dylan loved when everyone sang Happy Birthday and immediately started signing More, More before it even ended. Luckily there were a few birthday's that night.

Dylan got bored at the table and wanted to walk around. She and her dad found some special seating back in the corner.
Dylan then wanted everyone to come sit in the back corner with her. Here's Jill and Daryl joining in on the fun.

And the best part of the evening Auntie Beans made us all a special Apple and Gruyere Pie that was to die for. Dylan LOVED the ice cream part of the evening and going from booth to booth joining all her new friends for dinner - she met lots of people that night, a few even asked if they could take her home.

An Evening Walk With D
Every evening we've been trying to get out for a family walk around the neighborhood. The other night we had a special guest appearance - G-ma McBride. Dylan impressed her with her walking skills. She even wanted to hold G-ma's hand to help get the walk started.

Every night our walks get a little longer as miss D discovers more and more things along the way. We stop and say hello to all the woof-woofs, pick up EVERY rock, some times the direction gets changed and then changed back, wave hello to all that pass by - car or walking, and check out everyone's front steps. Dylan LOVES our neighbor, Olivier and Catherine's front rocks, no getting pass that one without stopping for at least 10 minutes!

Uncle Shawn's New Pad
Last weekend we went over to check out Uncle Shawn's new pad and to celebrate G-ma McBride's b-day. We watched some football, played on the floor, ate some pizza and baby rice mum mum crackers... good times! Thanks Uncle Shawn and Kelly - your new place is great. And thanks for the pictures Kelly.

East Coast Comes to West Coast

The Family: Great Uncle Cupcake, Uncle Shawn, Momma Tini, G-ma McBride, and PaPa Clark

One happy dad!

Kelly (uncle Shawn's girlfriend) has some baby whispering skills! Nice work Kelly!!

A few weeks back Great Uncle Cupcake (a nickname Auntie Jill gave him long ago) from Philly came to do a little business on the West Coast. We were so excited to have him that we had a family pizza party. Thanks for the pictures Kelly.

Great Uncle Cupcake & Uncle Shawn doing an uncle two pack calming session. Dylan was so happy that she started crying - or at least that's the story we're sticking with!
