Googly Eyes

Olivia was back from College for Winter break.  It was great to see her and so kind of her to come visit us during her time home.  We miss her dearly!  Olivia arrived with a super fun deluxe arts and crafts circus making kit - oh boy did the girls have fun.  There was sparkle glue, buttons, ribbons, tissue paper, crayons, flowers, pipe cleans, glitter, and yes googly eyes.  It was a sweet visit and always fabulous fun to see Olivia! 

Kiwi Project

This month's Kiwi Crate project was making your own farmer's market.  Fabulous idea!  One project was sewing your own fruit and veggies, the second was design your own apron.  They even included fake money - so fun.  So we now have a new little farmer's market right here in our house - it's called Popsicle and the little farmer that runs it is very cute and super nice.  She only seems to sell a few veggies at a time so you best get there early.  Another great little shop that opened in our house is called Picnic - oh it's a great little grocery shop that bakes fresh cookies and sells shampoo.  So grab your shopping bags and come shop - and if you're lucky some days the little shop owners pays you to shop!

Our Indoor Garden

Dylan and I started a lovely little indoor garden.  She loved watching the plants grow - every morning at breakfast we'd check out and new happenings and she'd get soooo excited when there was a little movement/growth to report.  We grew sunflowers, squash, & beans - all of which are now outside in the 'big garden'.  Someone's got quite a green thumb, although don't tell her as she will take you literally.

"Hey Mom, I'm just working on my thank you's for my 4th birthday party". Didn't have the heart to tell her it's not for another year! Guess she's having a big party from the amount of thank you's now sitting on our kitchen counter.

Arts And Crafts

One of our favorite winter time activities - arts and crafts. I discovered the best thing (I wish I would have thought of this) - it's called Kiwi Crate. Great tip for all you mom's out there reading - Kiwi Crate is delivered to your doorstep monthly - it's basically a lovely little green box (Dylan now waits for it's arrival) that is packed full of two + craft projects, along with all supplies needed, stickers, cards describing projects along with questions to educate on the months craft topic. For instance last month was space theme - we got a planet mobile to paint and put together and make your own rockets (hard to tell who in the family had more fun with that one). There were fabulous question and answer cards talking about space and additional suggestions on how to stretch the theme out and make a few other crafts with the extra supplies given. It's been a savor this winter - we love you Kiwi Crate!
