A Girl And The Love For Her Dog

I honestly can't tell you who loves who more - it's very sweet.

Roslyn Camping Trip

Here's a few photo's from our last camping trip to Roslyn. We got a late start Friday night and didn't make it to Roslyn until 8:30ish - which we found was pretty late to expect a camping spot at the camp grounds. So we went off-roading heading up a windy dirt road - which I wasn't so sure we'd make it back down with the trailer. But sure enough after a few very bumpy miles we found a great spot!

Here's a picture of breakfast the next morning.

Dylan got a hold of the camera for the next two pictures - "mom in a little coffee time action".

After Dylan's bike race on Saturday we met some new friends (they are on Matt's bike team) who were looking to camp out for the night so we invited them to camp out with us.  Oh the kiddo's had a blast!  Of course they loved hanging out in the trailer.

And having breakfast together the next morning.

After breakfast everyone went on a sweet little bike ride.  Happy to say that Dylan rode her bike the whole way!  Way to go d!

A Couple of Groupies

Today Dylan and I met our friends, Olive, Momma Kelly, and Baby Clover at the Beacon Hill Library for a special Caspar Babypants performance. Dylan and Olive are couple of groupies for sure. They were the first to stand up and dance, and last to leave! The girls were in heaven! Dylan's friend Ella was there as well and join the girls for a few songs. The girls started about 1/2 way back but worked their way up front in no time. At one point I could hear Dylan yelling the lyrics to a song. It was a fun show and the girls had a fabulous time!

Video's coming soon.

Roslyn Bike Race

Kids bike race in Roslyn this weekend.  Dylan was not only the first kick biker across the finish line but also the first girl!  Way to go Dylan.  She was very excited and wanted to go again so we rounded up a few other little guys to go with her.  I watched and watched and watched the finish line but no D - then I looked over and saw Matt and Dylan up by the starting line - Dylan was red in the face from crying.  Apparently a kid on a pedal bike pasted her and she was mad!  Guess we'll be getting a pedal bike soon.

West Fest - The Wall

So to catch you up before we start - Friday night after Caspar Babypants performed we met Pappa Matt over by the rides. Well come to find out they close at 8pm and we were too late. Tears were quickly dry after some shaved ice. While enjoying her delicious tasty treat curbside Dylan saw a climbing wall which became a hot topic of discussion and then an obsession. I quickly walked over and talked to the gal operating the 'ride' to see if it was even an option for Dylan to go on - which turns out it was. So you could only imagine what was talked about the whole walk home - yes, 'The Wall'. Saturday we were at a bike race all day and didn't get back until well after 8pm so guess what we were doing first thing Sunday after breakfast! We met our friends at the big slide, which the girls slide down 6 or 7 times before Dylan remembered her mission of conquering 'The Wall'.

So after getting harness & helmet on she eyeballed her route....

With a little help from dad to get started, she was on her way up.

And up....
She did great for her first attempt - yes I say first attempt as there are more to come....

But first a break for a few rides.

Okay attempt number 2 went good (didn't get any pictures sorry to say) but here is attempt number three.  Notice the concentration "This wall is mine!".....

The start off was good....  nice footing.

Fabulous form as she pulled herself up then scoped out the next foot and hand placement....

And she's off.  Didn't make it to the top but was way above our heads.  Nice job Dylan!  Guess we'll be in search of a rock climbing course now....

After tackling a wall like that every climber deserves some cotton candy (okay it was her dad's idea - as you look at this picture I wonder to myself, hummm who is the cotton candy actually for?)....
Ah!  blocked.
But not for long - it's okay Dylan's a good sharer - sometimes :0).
It was a great LONG day at the festival.  Until next year when you know D will be climbing up and over 'The Wall'.  Ha!
