Happy Inde-poop-dance Day!
Best Day EVER!!!! Today was number 5 of 5 poops in the potty!!!! It's been a HUGE ordeal over here and today was a big morning so we're calling it Inde-poop-dance day! We went from being absolutely petrified to going to Dylan saying to me "I feel poop-poops coming. I think I need to be alone for this. Hey mom, come see my beautiful poops!". Yes, we screamed, danced, and lots of hugs of achievement! Now Dylan says "Hey mom, I'm so proud of myself, I'm not scared now. AND guess what now, I can go to school!".
As promised, after 5 poops Dylan got her 'super big surprise'. Old school fisher price parking garage just like the one her mom had growing up! Let's just say it's been extremely quiet in the livingroom for several hours now. GREAT JOB DYLAN, we are sooo soo sooo proud of you!

How To Potty Train 101
When you think they are ready to start trying to use the potty you take them to Ikea and stand them outside the window looking into the super fun ballroom. You then look them in the eye and say 'oh boy, doesn't that look like soooo much fun! If you want to go in and play you must first learn to use the potty like a big .... (insert boy or girl).'. For the next few weeks you remind them every day (two, three, four times even) of that ballroom. Works like a charm. March 3rd Dylan made it into the ballroom ~ milestone! We even waited in line for 20 minutes for that darn ballroom but we were determined! Way to go Dylan!!!!!

Broken
We are in the beginning phases of potty training. Every night after bath I let Dylan streak around the house until she has to go pee. She then runs into the bathroom, sits her little bum down on her potty, and makes pee in the pot. She gets sooo excited jumping up and down yelling "I did it, I did it, candy, candy". I've been using candy as a little incentive which has been helping. My sister was trained as a kid with the water running which to this day when she hears running water she runs for a toilet. So I thought maybe I should stay clear of that method but now I'm thinking Dylan will be 16, pee, and then think 'hum, I suddenly want candy'.
So the other night I ask Dylan if she needs to make pee-pee in the pot. She runs to her little potty, sits down, and makes the funniest little pushing face. Oh she pushes and pushes. She then jumps up and says "Uttoh Momma, broken, not working" as in her plumbing is broken because nothing is coming out. Oh I had a good laugh over that one. She then climbs up on "Momma's potty" to try it out, thinking it was the potty and not her. She gave it a good try again and then strugs her shoulders and says 'broken'.

A Little Bath Time Story

So here's a funny little bath time story for ya. The other night I'm getting ready to give miss d a bath. I got her striped down to her diaper when she started saying 'poop'. I asked if she had 'poop' in her diaper and she said 'poop' again but there was nothing. I peeled off her diaper and let her streak around the house for a few while I got her bath ready. I was in the bathroom when Dylan came running in saying 'uh, uh, uh' and pointing to the living room. I walked out as Dylan said 'poop' and pointed so proudly to a nice (and big, I might add) pile of 'poop'. Way to go Dylan! AND nice job hitting the hardwood floor and not the rug.
Since the story Dylan now will tap her diaper and say 'poop' to let us know that she's done a little business in her diaper - it's not every time but it's a great start to potty training.
Last night after her bath she had a little streak party around the house. This time she came running up to us and said 'pee pee'. Clean up on isle 4. You think we'd learn by now about letting little missy streak. At least she's making the connection of what's happening south of the boarder.
