Halloween started a few weeks early with a big bash at Little Gym. Dylan or should I say 'Jasmine' was so much on the move it was hard to get a good photo but here's one of her carrying Asa (who was dressed up as super baby).
Next we were on to the West Seattle Harvest Festival - Asa was dressed as a baby Babushka.
And Princess Jasmine was buying flowers with her Auntie Beans.
For Halloween treats Dylan made caramel apple treats and we delivered them to all her good friends. Apparently they were a hit.
Then we were on to Trick or Treating in the Admiral district. After wearing her costume and wig all day at school already we disposed of the wig and just went as a Ginie (although according to Dylan she was still Jasmine just with out the wig).
After several days of festivals, sweet treats, school dress up, it came the actual night of Halloween (that goodness, cause this momma was getting exhausted). This year was a hoot with all our new neighbors moving in - all with kids. A neighbor up the street had a pre-trick party. The kids had a blast and then all headed out on the streets to do some Treating.
Here's Asa as Ninja Baby or perhaps a Cat Thief - don't let those sweet cheeks fool you the girls is fast as lightening. Nothing is safe around her.

West Fest 2013
Oh West Fest - so much fun and just right in our own backyard! We headed up Friday at 11 and didn't come home until after 4pm!
The girls spent all day - 11-4 again - riding rides, dancing, eating, hanging out, and jumping from one bouncy house to the next.
Dylan came home at 4 and instantly was on her Dad to take her back up - as 'he hasn't seen it yet'. So back up we went - let's just say we got the most out of our weekend wrist band!
And we closed the place down.
On Sunday we took a trip out to Yakima. Dylan was little bummed to miss the fair but was a trooper for an adventure. We made it back to Seattle by 5 - and the first words out of D's mouth - "can we run up to the fair - please!" So Matt and D ran up to hit the last hour of rides. A few minutes later they were back with super long faces and D crying "I missed out on all the fun!" Didn't realize the rides closed an hour before the fair did - our bad. Wont be making that mistake again!

West Fest - The Wall
So to catch you up before we start - Friday night after Caspar Babypants performed we met Pappa Matt over by the rides. Well come to find out they close at 8pm and we were too late. Tears were quickly dry after some shaved ice. While enjoying her delicious tasty treat curbside Dylan saw a climbing wall which became a hot topic of discussion and then an obsession. I quickly walked over and talked to the gal operating the 'ride' to see if it was even an option for Dylan to go on - which turns out it was. So you could only imagine what was talked about the whole walk home - yes, 'The Wall'. Saturday we were at a bike race all day and didn't get back until well after 8pm so guess what we were doing first thing Sunday after breakfast! We met our friends at the big slide, which the girls slide down 6 or 7 times before Dylan remembered her mission of conquering 'The Wall'.
So after getting harness & helmet on she eyeballed her route....
With a little help from dad to get started, she was on her way up.
And up....
She did great for her first attempt - yes I say first attempt as there are more to come....
But first a break for a few rides.
Okay attempt number 2 went good (didn't get any pictures sorry to say) but here is attempt number three. Notice the concentration "This wall is mine!".....
The start off was good.... nice footing.
Fabulous form as she pulled herself up then scoped out the next foot and hand placement....
And she's off. Didn't make it to the top but was way above our heads. Nice job Dylan! Guess we'll be in search of a rock climbing course now....
After tackling a wall like that every climber deserves some cotton candy (okay it was her dad's idea - as you look at this picture I wonder to myself, hummm who is the cotton candy actually for?)....
Ah! blocked.
But not for long - it's okay Dylan's a good sharer - sometimes :0).
It was a great LONG day at the festival. Until next year when you know D will be climbing up and over 'The Wall'. Ha!

West Fest - Caspar Babypants
This past weekend was the West Seattle Street Festival and you should have heard the shrieks coming from one little girls mouth when she caught wind that Caspar Babypants was performing Friday night! So after work we quickly had dinner and headed up the street. It didn't take long for Dylan to wiggle her way to the front of the toddler moshpit - yes, that's her front and center with the big ol' smile on her face.
After a few songs the moshpit decided to rush the stage - and look out toddlers everywhere!
Dylan was in all her dancing glory! Big smile on her face the entire time. A few times she came and found me to tell me what song Caspar was playing, just in case I wasn't paying attention. Later that night Matt caught up with us and Dylan says to him "Dad, I just saw my favorite performer ever!".

Lincoln Park Rainy Adventure
Our friends the Chambers came to town for a visit. They were sweet enough to make time in their busy schedule to come hang out with us. We took a rainy walk to the beach at Lincoln Park. Rain or no rain the kiddos had fun exploring the beach.
